Space Cadet
While studying in Boston, I frequently passed by a playground whose unique design immediately caught my attention. The Space Hippie shoe, one of my favorites, featured colors and aesthetics that perfectly complemented the playground’s spatial design. Inspired by this harmony, I aimed to create a project that preserved the playground’s playful spirit while introducing a theme centered around childhood and imagination.The title “Space Cadet” cleverly combines “Space,” referencing both the shoe and the playground’s architectural elements, with “Cadet,” reflecting a youthful, playful identity—as well as my own role as the youngest in my family. Additionally, the term “space cadet” evokes the idea of daydreaming, reinforcing the project’s whimsical and imaginative tone.
