At the onset of the pandemic, a speech by the French president struck a powerful chord with me. It became the spark for a project that aimed to capture the gravity of the moment without echoing the repetitive, protective narratives that were dominating visual media at the time.

Instead, I sought to portray resilience and defiance. Set against the raw, natural backdrop of a forest and featuring a custom military vest designed by a friend, the visuals became a symbolic fusion: Commando against Covid. This contrast between nature and combat gear served as a metaphor for the internal and external battles we were all facing, turning the moment into something both personal and universal.
